Late last year, Bentley revealed its new and improved Supersports car. Hailed as the most dynamic car in the brand’s history – yet staying true to its unmistakable design and engineering – the limited run of 500 units was quick to sell-out, with motorsport enthusiasts vying to get their hands on the coupé months before its production.Taking a closer look, the striking new Supersports delivers 666 PS twin-turbo V8 engine, without a hybrid system. In addition to its pure gasoline performance, the model comes as the first Continental GT to weigh less than two tonnes and the first with a rear wheel drive, putting the driver in full control of its agility and aerodynamic power. The two-seater model also includes a wealth of exterior design changes, all crafted in carbon fiber to give the car a more aggressive stance while adding 300 kg of downforce.Hoping to show its respective buyers the true capabilities of the vehicle, Bentley recently unveiled a new short film starring extreme sport and motorsport athlete Travis Pastrana. Having featured in the 2025 film Aussie Shred, Pastrana brings his daredevil spirit into the Gymkhana-style visuals to channel the precise movements of the latest Supersports model around the brand’s headquarters in Crewe, England. The film, aptly titled Supersports: FULL SEND, opens with the athlete taking his place behind the wheel of the coupé, surrounded by decades of history and forward-thinking innovation. On the fastest ever tour of the factory campus, he passes by several iconic automotives – such as the pre-war Bentleys in the Heritage Collection, Le Mans racers and concept cars – spotlighting the brand’s evolution and what promises to be a pioneering future. For this particular film, petrol heads will also be able to notice a modified version of the Supersports, used to unlock the car’s highest potential. It is fitted with a hydraulic handbrake, named Mildred after the record-breaking Bentley motorist Mildred Bruce, and power braking for stretches of drifting and sustained sideways movement. Though these features won’t appear in the forthcoming model, they show how the body can be pushed to the limits with ease.At the film’s premiere in Dubai, the Supersports made its regional debut with 400 guests in attendance, of which included fans, customers, industry experts along with brand ambassador Lucien Laviscount. After checking out the car in its Daybreak specification, comprising “Jetstream Matte” with a livery in “Arctica” and “Portofino,” a 12-meter wide screen was set up to immerse the crowds into the action-packed visuals, later initiating excitement and rapturous applause.Bringing the film to life, Pastrana made his entrance on the Dubai waterfront in the modified Supersports that featured in the visuals. As the athlete stepped out against the backdrop of the green-lit Burj Al Arab, he spoke to Hypebeast about his experience driving the car. “I’ve never been able to take a stock vehicle and drift it around so effortlessly everywhere I’ve wanted to go,” he shared. “When you get in, it feels like a luxury Bentley car with its smooth power transition and stability. It’s unbelievable how you can slide it and feel in total control as you’re doing it.”While superfans took turns to check out the modified edition, Bentley board member Christophe Georges explained how the event is providing a “reflection of the new brand strategy” saying, “We combined authenticity, new ambassadors, our extraordinary customers and unexpected product stories into one remarkable evening. Our attention now turns to working with each Supersports customer to take them on their own extraordinary journey, through an incredible world of specification possibilities.” View this post on InstagramA post shared by HYPEBEAST (@hypebeast) To find out more about the event, check out Hypebeast’s behind-the-scenes coverage on Instagram. You can now watch the full Supersports: FULL SEND film as well as other Bentley videos on YouTube. SummaryArid’s “Veil” transforms a 1951 Athens corner building, expanding it to 850 square meters with added floorsA perforated aluminum façade with movable panels creates a kinetic, light‑filtering veil, enhancing ventilation and privacyArid’s “Veil” project breathes new life into a 1951 corner building in Athens’ Patissia district, transforming it into a contemporary residential and co-working hub. The intervention involved a sensitive renovation of the original structure alongside the addition of three new floors, expanding the total size to 850 square meters.Rather than maximizing the buildable area, the design prioritizes setbacks and outdoor spaces, drawing inspiration from the local morphology of Karamanlaki Street to maintain a sense of openness and visual harmony within the urban fabric. The project’s namesake feature is its perforated aluminum skin, which acts as a "veil" to soften the rigid forms of the addition while blurring the lines between concealment and openness. This double-skin façade serves both functional and aesthetic purposes, optimizing natural ventilation and privacy while allowing light to reflect dynamically off the surface. Equipped with movable louvers and rotating panels, the exterior creates a "kinetic sculpture" effect, where shifting transparencies interact with the sun to provide a weightless, ethereal appearance.Internally, the project fosters a timeless dialogue between historical and contemporary identities by retaining original materials such as marble, timber window frames, and wooden flooring. The traditional social model of the Athenian polykatoikia is reimagined for modern life, integrating diverse residential units with a co-living apartment and dedicated co-working areas. This functional mix is topped with a shared roof garden, balancing private living with community-focused spaces that cater to the neighborhood's dynamic and evolving character. SummaryThe Nike SoHo flagship at 529 Broadway officially closed on January 10, 2026, ending a nearly ten-year tenure as a cornerstone of New York City’s "Future of Sport Retail"Originally opened in 2016, the massive 55,000-square-foot space was famous for its experiential design, featuring five floors of multisport trial zones and high-tech athletic hubsThe historic building was purchased by IKEA’s parent company, Ingka Group, for $213 million USD, with plans to repurpose the former sneaker destination into a new IKEA locationA landmark of Manhattan’s retail landscape has officially reached the finish line. As of January 10, 2026, the Nike SoHo flagship store has permanently shuttered its doors, concluding a nearly decade-long residency at the corner of Broadway and Spring Street. Since its high-profile debut in November 2016, the massive 55,000-square-foot space served as the pulse of the city's sneaker culture, famously dubbed by Nike as the "Future of Sport Retail."Spanning five floors of the historic 1853 Prescott House Hotel building, the emporium was much more than a traditional shoe store. It functioned as a multisport sanctuary, featuring dedicated trial zones for basketball, running, and soccer—complete with in-store treadmills and half-courts that allowed athletes to put products to the test in real-time. For many, it was the primary destination for high-heat releases and the latest in digital-to-physical retail integration. The departure comes as the prime real estate prepares for a domestic transition. The Ingka Group, the parent company of IKEA, acquired the building for a staggering $213 million USD. Plans are already in motion to transform the former sneaker hub into a new IKEA location, bringing a focus on home furnishing to one of SoHo's busiest intersections. While Nike continues to operate its global flagship on Fifth Avenue, the closure of the 529 Broadway site marks the final chapter for a space that redefined how fans experienced the brand in the heart of downtown New York. SummaryNetflix has officially renewed the mind-bending anthology series Black Mirror for an eighth season, ensuring more dark explorations of our relationship with technologyCreator Charlie Brooker confirmed the news during a recent interview, stating that his creative process is already "whirring away" to produce episodes that are "more Black Mirror than ever"The announcement comes as Brooker noted the show's return is perfectly timed for reality to catch up with its speculative fiction, following a legacy of unsettlingly accurate technological predictionsJust as our daily lives begin to mirror its most unsettling premises, the definitive anthology of technological dread is coming back to haunt us once more. Netflix has officially greenlit an eighth season of Black Mirror, ensuring that creator Charlie Brooker will continue to dismantle our comfort with the modern world. The news comes at a time when the show’s past predictions—from social credit systems to AI-driven replicas—feel less like science fiction and more like a morning news cycle. In a recent conversation with Netflix’s Tudum, Brooker expressed both excitement and a characteristic touch of irony regarding the show's persistence. “Black Mirror will return, and hopefully it’ll be more Black Mirror than ever,” he shared, hinting that the upcoming episodes will lean even further into the visceral, mind-bending territory that made the series a global phenomenon. Reflecting on the show's uncanny ability to anticipate the future, Brooker added, “Luckily it does have a future, so I can confirm that Black Mirror will return, just in time for reality to catch up with it. So, that’s exciting. That chunk of my brain has already been activated and is whirring away.”While plot details and casting remain strictly confidential, the renewal suggests that the series will continue to push the boundaries of the Red Mirror supernatural sub-label while returning to the high-tech dystopias that built its legacy. As we await the next installment, one thing is certain: Brooker’s whirring brain is already crafting the next set of warnings for a world that can’t seem to stop clicking. In the past, creator Mike White has used iconic backdrops to dissect class and privilege -- the tropical shores of Maui, Hawaii defined Season 1; the volcanic cliffs of Taormina, Sicily hosted the chaos of Season 2; and the spiritual, lush landscapes of Koh Samui and Phuket, Thailand serve as the setting for the third season. By choosing Saint-Tropez, the series moves into the heart of European high society, where the azure waters and private beach clubs provide a fresh playground for a new group of ill-fated travelers. The Château de La Messardière, part of the ultra-exclusive Airelles collection, offers 32 acres of secluded gardens of parasol pines, cypress trees and jasmine and a hilltop view of the Mediterranean—the ideal fortress for the wealthy elite to unravel.
